Interrupted - Week 2

What if the moments that feel like the biggest disruptions to our plans are actually the moments God has been setting up all along? This message takes us into a scene from Mark 6 where Jesus and his disciples are heading toward a much-needed rest after a long season of ministry, only to find thousands of people waiting for them on the shore. Rather than turning the crowd away, Jesus responds with compassion, and in doing so, he reframes the entire way we think about interruptions. The central lesson is striking: compassion is what transforms an interruption into an assignment. When we look at the people who disrupt our schedules and drain our energy through the lens of compassion rather than inconvenience, we stop seeing obstacles and start seeing opportunities. The message challenges us to ask an honest question about the times we say we have nothing left to give -- are we truly depleted, or are we simply protecting our own plans? There is a meaningful difference between the two, and recognizing that difference can change how we show up for the people around us every single day.
